I was lucky enough to be invited to Hycare Health and Beauty Studio in Limerick last week for a treatment at the Beauty and Wellness Studio on Bradmill Road, run by Hicare proprietor Iva. Ta.
Aiva specializes in non-invasive skin care and body treatments, and she talked me through every step of the process to get a good understanding of my skin before starting the treatment.
As someone with acne-prone skin, I’m very wary of anything new or too harsh on my skin, but I’ve found Aiva to be a very safe pair.
Treatment began with lymphatic drainage boots worn on the feet to remove lactic acid and improve blood circulation.
Aiba started working on my face while the boots worked their magic. She started with an enzyme peel mask and steam – so relaxing! She then did a vacuum suction/cupping massage to remove buildup under my skin and encourage skin tissue regeneration. Ta.
Next, she used radiofrequency tools on my skin to promote skin healing and ultrasound technology to help the products she was using penetrate deeper into the skin.

The treatment ended with ion light therapy, which I was most looking forward to seeing used on social media. It is intended to accelerate metabolic processes in the skin. Oxygen ions flow through the dome placed on the head and are found to be beneficial to the immune and respiratory systems.
Overall, this treatment made my skin look brighter and healthier, and I saw visible changes in my facial structure due to reduced fluid retention due to lymphatic drainage.
Aiva is currently in the process of rebranding the studio under the new Revior brand. To book, call 089-468 9854 or visit the High Care Health & Beauty Studio Facebook page.
