Motocross star Jaden Archer has died at the age of 27 while attempting the world’s “most dangerous trick.”
Archer, the Australian who shot to fame by becoming the first motocross rider to perform a triple backflip in competition, has died while attempting the stunt during a practice session.
Archer, known as Jay-Yo, proposed to his fiancée Beth King shortly after pulling off the history-making trick at the 2022 Nitro World Games in Brisbane and plans to marry his fiancée Beth King later this year. Ta.
He was a member of the famous Nitro Circus crew for more than a decade, won two medals at the X Games, and was planning to attempt the world’s first quadruple backflip before his death.

Action sports organization Nitro Circus paid tribute to Archer, calling him “the epitome of passion.”
It read: “The Nitro Circus family mourns the loss of Jayo Archer.
“Jayo was the epitome of passion, hard work and determination.
“He pushed what is possible on a dirt bike to heights never seen before.
“He is a positive influence on those around him and, most importantly, a wonderful human being and friend to all of us.”
Only three dirt bike riders have ever completed a triple backflip, and Archer shared his joy after making history with it in 2022.
“Words cannot describe this feeling,” he said.
“This is more than a trick to me. I have dedicated my entire life to this moment for the past three years.
“There were a lot of failures, broken bones, knockouts. I would do it even 100 times just to relive that moment again.”
