London — From Burberry’s Soft Weekender Bag to Erdem’s Rose Earrings to Emilia Wickstead’s Pillbox Hat, accessories were not to be missed at London Fashion Week, which concluded on Tuesday.
The brand focused on warmth and comfort, with designs using materials such as faux fur and knitted fabrics. They chose a muted color palette of warm browns, earthy greens, and pops of red.

Holzweiler suggested oversized puffy crossbody bags and felt messenger bags with knitted fringe in colors like light blue and purple. The brand also released a black and red tie-dye quilted shoulder bag.
JW Anderson also had knit handbags in shades like white and lilac. The brand’s corner bag, which debuted in February last year, came in various variations. One style had a furry exterior, and his other one had a tassel top handle.
For his third collection as Burberry’s chief creative officer, Daniel Lee designed spacious bags in keeping with the camp theme. The Weekender’s bag was made of earth-toned leather, fur, and the brand’s classic checked pattern, and the slouchy crossbody was adorned with a zipper and a giant fur pompom that adorned his key ring.
The brand also accessorised the look with a long Burberry signature checked scarf tied around the model’s neck, pairing it with chunky coats and ribbed knit dresses.
Susan Fang envisions a fantasy world and tells it through her bags. Her surreal designs included honeycomb shapes, holographic effects, floral patterns, and more. These were manufactured using a variety of her 3D printing techniques as part of the brand’s sustainability drive.
Ancuta Sarca also prioritized sustainability with a design made from deconstructed iridescent velvet parkas in ruby red, orange brown, and mustard yellow.
Connor Ives and Emilia Wickstead turned their attention to hats. Wickstead, whose collection focused on the style of mid-century Manhattan women, introduced the pillbox hat, while Ives favored a beige trapper and Holzweiler opted for a beanie.

Designer Erdem Moralioglu transformed roses into gold brooches and earrings in a collection inspired by Maria Callas. Her jeweled drop earrings with pearls and gold-plated edges were also a fall addition. Similarly, Connor Ives used flowers and leaves as decorations on shoelace chokers.
As part of an ongoing design story, Completedworks has crafted elements such as pearls, gemstones and ribbons into earrings, necklaces and rings.
British actress Joanna Lumley appeared at the brand’s presentation and read a poem called “The Confessions of Lilith” written by author Fatima Farheen Mirza.
“It’s a great innovation to commission a poem from a very beautiful poet and create a stage scenario that is half dream world and half reality,” Lumley said backstage.
