In 2023, NEAT was awarded a Positive Action Grant (PAG) by Live Life Aberdeenshire (LLA) to support projects in selected rural areas where public transport is limited and local access to culture and sport is restricted. We supported activities to improve community health and well-being in our communities.

Using PAG funding, NEAT will work with the communities of Cuminestown, Lottier Norman Fettercairn, New Deer and Strathdon to promote cultural activities and help ensure long-term service provision for local people. , raising awareness of LLA services across Aberdeenshire.
NEAT has launched two exciting new ventures for these communities –

The online Bothy – Skills Share program is an opportunity to connect with other group leaders, volunteers, and artists in your area.
There will be facilitated sessions with professional project managers and you will gain skills on how to run projects more effectively and efficiently.
It’s a place to meet like-minded people, learn and share good working practices with others.
The course normally costs £450, but is free for anyone operating in one of the five sectors covered.
The application deadline is February 23rd.
