BAFTA weekend is here, with the big celebrations starting on Sunday night ahead of the BAFTA Film Awards, followed by a number of glamorous after-parties scheduled to continue into the early hours of Monday morning. The awards themselves will be presented at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Center on Sunday from 5pm local time.
The ceremony, hosted by David Tennant (who took over from Richard E. Grant in 2023 and was preceded by Rebel Wilson), will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC from 7pm local, two hours after the start of live proceedings. It will be broadcast on iPlayer. In 2022, the Critics’ Choice Awards were held in Los Angeles on the same night as the BAFTAs, causing some confusion over the nominees. Last year, the Directors Guild of America presented its awards the night before. This year, only the Annie Awards will be duplicated.

Afterwards, some will head to Charles Finch’s special annual dinner, held in partnership with Chanel at 5 Hertford Street to celebrate a great year in film and fashion.
On Sunday and immediately after the awards ceremony, BAFTA will hold a post-ceremony dinner at the Royal Festival Hall, which is in its second year since moving from Grosvenor House last year. After the meal, a BAFTA afterparty will be held at the venue.
