Zendaya went to the archives to watch some amazing footage from the Dune: Part 2 premiere in London.
She plays the warrior Chani in the series and wore a silver robot-inspired dress with see-through panels from Mugler’s Fall/Winter 1995 collection.
Styled by longtime collaborator Image Architect Law Roach, Zendaya’s wet-look hair was pulled into a low bun, and a statement Bvlgari necklace completed her Dune-inspired look.
This outfit is reminiscent of an updated version worn by Beyoncé during her recent Renaissance World Tour.
Zendaya joined her Dune co-stars on a red carpet that was actually made of sand. American actor Timothée Chalamet, who plays protagonist Paul Atreides in the film, wore an ensemble by French designer Haider Ackermann.
Some of Chalamet’s most memorable red carpet looks were by Ackermann, including the backless red look he wore at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. At the Dune premiere, he wore a boxy short-sleeved black top with a white shirt underneath and a shiny metallic shirt. Pants with black details.
British actress Florence Pugh, who joins the cast as Princess Irulan, also wore Valentino, which is no surprise since she is an ambassador for the luxury fashion house. Her chocolate brown dress was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray and featured sequins and a built-in hood for her backless look.
And Pugh didn’t attend the event alone; she was joined by her grandmother Pat, who previously walked the red carpet with her at the Venice Film Festival.
Austin Butler is playing the villain in Dune: Part 2 after making a name for himself as a style star promoting the 2022 Elvis biopic.
He did not disappoint at the London premiere. Leaning into her slouchy sartorial trend, she wore black wide-legged pants, a long jacket, and a white tank top. All of these were from Gucci.
Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson is returning to the Dune cast as Lady Jessica, Paul Atreides’ mother. She wore a Fendi Couture Her gown from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection. The dress is black with silver panels and features an asymmetrical train.
The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy walked the sandy carpet in dramatic fashion, fueling rumors that she’s appearing in Dune Part 2. She opted for a dreamy all-white look with a deep V-neck pleated gown and a sheer white headscarf on her head.
The costumes were custom-made by French fashion house Dior. Taylor-Joy is a brand ambassador and often wears Dior when appearing on red carpets, most notably in a yellow ensemble at the 2021 Emmy Awards.
Dune: Part 2 will be released in theaters on March 1st.
