Manchester City suffered two more injury concerns in their Champions League win over FC Copenhagen.
Jack Grealish went down with a muscular problem just 20 minutes into his first start in a month, forcing him to be replaced by Jeremy Doku. In the second half, Bernardo Silva received a “big kick” which led to his forced substitution by Pep Guardiola, despite Silva’s attempt to continue playing on the touchline. Matheus Nunez came on as a substitute near the end.
“Bernardo suffered a big bruise on his ankle. I haven’t talked to the doctors, but Jack looks muscular,” Guardiola said. “The last few days he was feeling a lot better in training. He played really well and helped us with the tempo.

“You can’t play that fast. You have to find the right moment, the right tempo.” You can feel it.
“He wanted to continue, but we didn’t want to cause any more damage. We’ll do a test tomorrow.”
Grealish and Silva will be joined by Josko Gvardiol, who missed the tour with an ankle ligament problem and is expected to be out for several weeks. However, there was more positive news regarding Mateo Kovacic, who has missed the last two games.
“I hope Bernardo won’t be a big problem. He will be at home against Chelsea and recover as soon as possible.
“Koba could come back. You lose a player every game and every training session and that’s not good.”
