Dizzying world records set by Berkshire Cirque du Soleil stars

A former British gymnast has set a dizzying world record by completing 36 handsprings in under 30 seconds.

Ms Colebeck, from Binfield, Berkshire, trained at Pinewood Gymnastics Club in Wokingham.

The Power Track performer set the Guinness World Record for most back handsprings (female) on a trampoline in 30 seconds with 36 revolutions, beating the previous record of 25.

She said: “It feels really great to be able to break this record. We do it in Alegria, but in the show we only do it five times in a row, so we try to do as many things as we can in 30 seconds.” It’s quite difficult,” he said. That’s difficult. ”

Lucy, who has been performing with Cirque du Soleil since 2018, added: “There are moments where you feel like you’re flying because it’s really fast but almost in slow motion.”

Contortionist Oyun Erdene Senge also set a new world record by performing the most contortion roll push-ups in 30 seconds (female), breaking the previous record of 21 with a total of 24.

She supported her weight on her palms and did as many push-ups as she could in the allotted time.

Judge Megan said, “I knew Cirque du Soleil’s cast was great, but seeing these record-breaking attempts up close and personal was something else.

“I was amazed at the level of flexibility and upper body strength that Oyun Erdene showed. Lucy’s attempt was lightning fast and she managed to break the record with at least five seconds to spare.”
