A recent landslide at a beautiful location along the Jurassic Coast has been captured on video.
Lulworth Rangers captured the moment a small landslide occurred at Lulworth Cove yesterday (Saturday February 10), demonstrating the “instability” of the cliffs.
The team said it had been seeing such slips “all morning.”
The Countryside Ranger Team works on the Lulworth Estate and is involved in environmental land management and education.
They suggested that the landslide was due to weather and “severe changes in environmental conditions.”

A Lulworth Rangers spokesperson said: “February is a month of significant change in environmental conditions, with frozen material thawing quickly making cliffs prone to landslides and heavy rainfall reducing stability.”
“The cliffs at Lulworth Cove are showing signs of instability. Small slides like this have been occurring all morning. Be careful at the base and top of the cliffs, check the currents and avoid carelessly. Please do not put yourself in danger.
“As the half-year mark approaches, we ask families spending the day at the coast to be extra cautious around cliffs.”
In the video, tons of rocks can be seen falling off the cliff within seconds.
Experts have warned that the cliffs are “fragile” and urged people to stay away from the cliff edges.
Sam Scriven, a geologist at the Jurassic Coast Trust, said: “Each new rockfall can make the cliff faces on either side of the collapse more fragile and more vulnerable to further falls. ” he said.
“We always tell people, if you’re going to explore crypto, only do it at low tide, and stay well away from the cliff face. And of course, if you’re on a cliff, stay away from the cliff edge.” The path along the way. ”
Further along the coast, three huge rockfalls occurred at West Bay’s East Cliff, which is known as the filming location for the hit drama series Broadchurch.
Several tons of rock fell from the cliff overnight, blocking access along the coast.
