The elite women’s team was the first to take the lead on the ski slopes, exchanging positions until Morgan Such and Veronica Widman split at the line at the end. In this sector, Morgane secured second place and victory against the Italian World Cup racers. Lisa Bauman put up a strong showing, beating her fastest split time in the final sector by 0.83 seconds and finishing in 3rd place.
The elite men’s race featured 42 riders, a significant number of riders competing for the newly established title of Snowbike World Champion. Henry Kerr flew through the first two splits and entered the final part of the course with a 0.18 second lead over Pierre Thévenard. The Irish rider was unable to maintain his winning pace until the final sector, where he ran third, yielding a 0.97 second lead to Pierre Thévenard, who was fastest on the sprint to the line.
