Immortal Awards returned to London on Wednesday night, kicking off this year’s global showcase tour at Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel.
Sponsored by Ridley Scott Associates, the evening featured the premiere of the 2023 award-winning reel, including three Immortal-winning projects and nine award-winning projects.
Leading names from the world of agency, production and post were in attendance to celebrate the winning entries and watch UK-based winners collect their prizes.
Three of the award-winning projects were in attendance that night. He was awarded two awards for UK projects, with Absolute receiving an award for Evoca Foundation’s Rise and Vanish’s Me, My Autism, I receiving gongs for Havas London, Whitehouse Post and 750mph.
There’s also one winning project for Immortal, with Someuch and Trim Editing collecting a shiny skull, a newly redesigned trophy for 2024, in recognition of Apple’s contributions to The Greatest.
The Immortal Awards team will embark on a global showcase tour, with locations and dates to be revealed in the coming months. A call for entries for this year’s contest will also be announced via Little Black Book shortly.
Paul Monin, Immortal Awards Director of Awards, said: “Starting a showcase tour at Ham Yard has become a tradition for Immortals and we are very much looking forward to it. It’s our first screening, and judging from this week’s response, it will prove to be a hit with audiences around the world. We’re thrilled to once again be hosting a sold-out event with nearly 200 of the city’s best creators in attendance. It’s a pleasure and we’re delighted to have had the support of the RSA team to make it all happen.”
Josie Juneau, head of advertising at RSA, added: “It’s a great event with great people. What I like most about the Immortal Awards is that we get to see work from so many different markets. Dario Fau’s CANAL+ film wowed the room. You always come back inspired.”
