Paul Weiss continues its rapid expansion in London by hiring an antitrust partner from rival US law firm Ropes & Gray.
The company has hired Annie Hardman as a new employee in London, according to people familiar with the matter.
Hardman was previously a partner at Kirkland & Ellis in London, alongside Paul Weiss’s new co-heads in London Neil Sadeff and Roger Johnson.

She joined Ropes & Gray as a partner in 2022. Her hire follows Paul Weiss’ hiring of Linklaters’ head of antitrust, Nicole Kerr, late last year.
Herdman has advised private equity firms including Bain Capital, Cinven and Advent on competitive aspects of transactions, according to her profile on Ropes & Gray’s website.

Paul Weiss has grown rapidly in London since hiring financial expert Sachdev and a team of Kirkland lawyers last summer.
Mr Johnson, a private equity M&A partner, also joined the firm as co-head of the firm’s London office, and the pair have since made a flurry of hires to expand the firm’s UK-based team.

Recent additions include Dan Schuster-Waldan, who joins the firm from Linklaters as head of European public M&A; private equity M&A partner Chris Sullivan; and leveraged, who joins from Clifford Chance.・Tanner Hassan, finance partner, and Will Aitken-Davies, who joined as head from Linklaters. In recent months, the firm has added Kirkland financial partner Stefan Arnold Soulby and Kirkland technology and intellectual property partner John Patten.
